Description of Work:

This is responsible work involving a high degree of public contact, working with a court team and with families with young children involved in a dependency case that have been affected by the opioid or other drug addiction and have agreed to participate in the Dependency Drug Court. The Family Support and Parenting Time Coordinator will work with the Unified Family Courtís Dependency Drug Court and OAYI team, foster parents, primary care givers, children, siblings, birth parents, and relatives to address the needs of the child and alleviate trauma and stress.The Family Support and Parenting Time Coordinator schedules and facilitates visitations between parents and their children and facilitates communication between affected families and project team members.Work is performed under the general review of the Behavioral Evaluations Program Director and the Unified Family Court Director.

 

Minimum Training and Experience Required:

†††††††††††††††††† Graduation from an accredited four-year College or University with a degree in social work, psychology, child welfare, education or related human services field and minimum of 2 years of responsible, professional experience working with children and youth who have been impacted by a family memberís substance use disorder and/or who are at risk of developing a substance use disorder. Progressively responsible experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college training.†††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† †††††

Salary:††††††††††† $1,389.60 bi-weekly plus Pinellas County benefits; State Pay Grade 30
