COURT TECHNOLOGIST I  

(Pasco County-funded position)

Administrative Office of the Courts

Sixth Judicial Circuit

 

Description of Work:

 

Individuals in the Court Technologist I position possess working knowledge to assist court user with a wide array of applications, systems and hardware used in the daily continuous operation of the Court.  An employee in this position provides training, support and installation of hardware, software, and network based equipment in an enterprise environment.  They configure and support multiple software applications and ensure connectivity and communications with their data sources.  The Court Technologist needs to maintain accountability of network devices, peripherals, software, hardware, and licenses.  They also provide basic support and training in audio, video communication, and control systems, and all types of courtroom technology.  Work is performed with considerable independence but difficult problems are referred to supervisors for resolution.  Assignments are made orally or in writing and work are reviewed through observation of results obtained, end user feedback, conferences and reports.

 

Minimum Training and Experience Required:

 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a two or four year degree with major course work in

computer science or Information Technology.

Two years of experience in directly related applications, systems and hardware support.

Previous court experience and/or Industry Standard Technical Certification(s) helpful.

(Note: Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for above specifications)

Salary:            $1,796.04 Biweekly plus Pasco County benefits; Equivalent to State Pay Grade 37
