COURT PROGRAM SPECIALIST II (8822)

ADULT AND DEPENDENCY DRUG COURT

(INTERNAL / EXTERNAL)



Description of Work:

This position provides direct support to the Drug Treatment Court Programs by providing case management, coordination, monitoring, and tracking compliance of participants in the treatment-based drug court programs.  Responsibilities include identifying potential drug court clients and providing initial review and evaluation of cases to determine drug court eligibility and participating in adult drug treatment court hearings.  This position requires a working knowledge of the criminal justice system, drug court procedures, and a general understanding of the judicial system.  The position establishes and maintains close working relationships with the judges assigned to the Criminal Court Sections, other court system personnel, professionals associated with the drug court programs, community agencies, and with the general public. 

 

The Case Manager must exercise discretion in dealing with confidential and extremely sensitive issues before the Court.  Work is performed under stressful conditions and involved contact with individual involved in emotional situations.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the Court Program Specialist III.

Minimum Training and Experience Required:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major study in public or judicial administration, business, education, social work, or a related social science and two years of experience in program administration or program evaluation.  Progressively responsible experience maybe substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college training.

Travel may be required to Pasco County Courthouse, 38053 Live Oak Ave., Dade City

 

Salary:

$3,009.61 monthly plus benefits; State Pay Grad 20
