Jury Service
Even though the courts could not function without jurors, they are even more important to the principles that our country was founded on. Other than voting, jury service – not duty – is the only civic responsibility asked of you. Jurors preserve the freedoms that founding fathers gave to our citizens.
While jurors need no special skills or legal knowledge, keeping those positions filled is an ongoing responsibility for Clerks of Court, who manage the jury system in the Sixth Judicial Circuit.
If you have been summoned for jury service and have a question or would like to request an excusal, you should contact the Jury Manager in the county where you were summoned.
