Fiscal Office
The Fiscal office is responsible for overseeing allocations and tracking expenditures from the State, Pinellas County and Pasco County Court budgets. Also, the Budget Manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting budget status in all Court cost centers to the Courts Administrator. The Budget Manager prepares the Court’s annual Pinellas County budget submission, assists with the Pasco budget submission and coordinates the State’s annual budget allocation request for the circuit. In Pinellas, the Budget Manager and four support staff and in Pasco, the Budget Analyst and 2 support staff process Court related invoices against the State, Pinellas and Pasco county budget allocations. Types of invoices processed throughout the year include: travel reimbursement, training and travel, mediation, expert witness, communications, rentals and leases, interpreters, hearing officers, magistrates, case management, office supplies, technology, furniture, court reporting and personnel related expenditures. The fiscal staff also conducts annual inventory audits of all capital items and updates the Court’s court appointed attorneys database as appropriate.
The Fiscal office also schedules contract court interpreters for criminal court proceedings when appropriate as well as assists the Court in complying with the ADA by coordinating the provision of sign language interpreters for court participants.
